Four years ago, the International Digital Health and AI Research Collaborative (I-DAIR) was founded to strengthen collaborative, equitable research on the use of digital health and artificial intelligence (AI) in health systems around the world. Today, we are please to launch our new organizational strategy under our new identity.

The International Digital Health and Artificial Intelligence Research Collaborative (I-DAIR), based in Switzerland, hosted a welcome reception for I-DAIR’s new CEO, Ricardo Baptista Leite on May 24 alongside the World Health Assembly, attended by stakeholders including honorable members of Parliament, ministries of health, WHO, and partners. Ricardo officially joined I-DAIR on May 22, 2023.

I-DAIR and CENS deliver first Spanish version of an internationally approved digital health course in the LAC region.

I-DAIR is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Ricardo Baptista Leite as its new Chief Executive Officer, following an extensive, global search process. Ricardo will replace Dr. Mehdi Snène, who ensured the transition since Dr. Amandeep Gill’s departure following his nomination as UN Secretary General Tech Envoy. He will take his functions as CEO on 22 May 2023.

On February 27th and 28th, 2023, the I-DAIR Board met for the second time in Geneva and online.
The highlight of the meeting was the appointment of I-DAIR’s new CEO. The name will be revealed shortly, after the finalization of the internal processes.
I-DAIR looks very much forward to his joining and leading the team!

I-DAIR, represented by Board Chair Dr. Christoph Benn and interim CEO Dr. Mehdi Snène, was invited by the Indian G20 presidency to the G20 Healthcare Expert Working Group in Kerala from January 18th to 20th, 2023. As a prominent player in the digital and AI healthcare research sector, I-DAIR actively participated in the different G20 Healthcare sessions and delivered statements on digital health and traditional medicine.

​I-DAIR is featured in the 2.0 edition of the Geneva Digital Atlas, representing the most comprehensive mapping of digital policy actors and the Internet governance scene in Geneva. The Atlas provides in-depth coverage of the activities of over 40 actors, including the analysis of policy processes and cataloging of core instruments and featured events.
